FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this flotation vest prevent drowning?

No. This vest is a swim-learning buoyancy aid, not a life-saving device and not designed to prevent drowning. Always use it under constant adult supervision.

What ages is the NVP swim vest recommended for?

It’s designed for babies and young children ages 1–6, in two sizes based on age and weight: Size S and Size M.

Can it be used in a pool and in the ocean?

Yes—use it in pools, supervised beaches, and family water settings, always with adult supervision and in safe conditions.

How is it different from armbands or traditional floaties?

Unlike passive floaties, this vest provides balanced buoyancy, supports a natural body position, and allows free movement—helping children learn progressively.

Is it officially certified in Europe?

Yes. The NVP flotation vest is certified to EN 13138-1:2021/AC:2022, the European standard for buoyancy aids used in children’s swim learning.

Can a child take it off on their own?

No. It includes reinforced Velcro closures and a rear safety buckle designed to be operated by an adult only.

What size does my child need?
  • Size S: Ages 1–3 | 11–19 kg
  • Size M: Ages 3–6 | 19–30 kg

Always follow the stated weight range.

Is it comfortable for longer wear?

Yes. It’s made from soft premium neoprene to help prevent rubbing and stay comfortable during longer sessions.

Does it include a control feature for adults?

Yes. A top rescue handle allows an adult to quickly hold, guide, or lift a child when needed.

Does this replace swim lessons?

No. It’s a learning aid, but it does not replace instruction, adult supervision, or swim lessons.
